Malaria is a serious and sometimes fatal disease caused by a parasite, but there is a cure, and we have it. Patients with malaria typically are very sick with high fevers, shaking chills, and flu-like illness. Forty-one percent of the world's population live in areas where malaria is transmitted (e.g., parts of Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Central and South America, Hispaniola, and Oceania).

Although malaria can be a fatal disease, illness and death from malaria are largely preventable and malaria can be cured with the right treatment. The disease should be treated early in its course, before it becomes severe and poses a risk to the patient's life. In endemic areas, the World Health Organization recommends that treatment be started within 24 hours after the first symptoms appear.

Children
It is estimated that 90% of deaths due to Malaria occur in children, and the numbers are as high as 3 million per year. Our product delivers a quick decrease of fever, fast parasite clearance, complete efficacy on all P. Falciparum, no in-vitro cross resistances, perfect tolerance and is easy for children to take.

COMPLETE CARE MEDICAL MALARIA TEST KIT
At present, malaria is diagnosed by looking for parasites in a drop of blood. Recently, clinical diagnostic issues related to malaria are the detection of malaria antibodies in human blood or serum by immunoassay. The ELISA format and immuo-chromatographic format to detect antibody of malaria are available now.

It is a immuo-chromatographic test for qualitative detection of antibodies of all kinds of malaria, especially to P. falciparum and P. vivax simultaneously in human serum. It contains a membrane strip, which is pre-coated with recombinant malaria P.f capture antigen (MSP, CSP) on test band 1 region and with recombinant malaria P.v antigen (MSP, CSP) on test band 2 region.

Contains:

1) One malaria P.v/P.f test device

 2) A bottle of 4ml diluent

 3) Instruction for use

There are 10 Rapid Test Kits in the kit.

Precaution:  Do not put it under room temperature; Perform the test immediately after removing the device from the foil pouch; Do not use it beyond the expiration.

Specimen:

1)      Collect the whole blood using the suitable anti-coagulant

2)      Centrifuge whole blood to get plasma or serum specimen

3)      If specimens are not tested immediately, they should be refrigerated at 2-8. For storage periods greater than three days, freezing is recommended. They should be brought to room temperature prior to use.

4)      Specimens containing precipitate may yield inconsistent test results. Such specimens must be clarified prior to assaying.

5)      The whole blood may be used for testing immediately or stored at 2-8up to three days.

  Warnings:

1)      For in vitro diagnostic use only.

2)      Do not eat or smoke while handling specimens

3)      Wear protective gloves while handling specimens. Wash hands thoroughly after that.

4)      Avoid splashing or aerosol formation.

5)      Clean up spills thoroughly using an appropriate disinfectant.

6)      Decontaminate and dispose of all specimens, reaction kits and potentially contaminated materials, as if they were not infectious waste, in a biohazard container.

7)      Do not use the test kit if the pouch is damaged or the seal is broken.

 Procedure:

1)      Remove the test device from the foil pouch, and place it on a flat, dry surface.

2)      Slowly add 10ml of serum, plasma, or 20ml of the whole blood to the sample well and then add 3 drops diluent.

3)      As the test begins to work, you will see purple color move across the result window in the center of the test device

4)      Interpret test results at 5-20 minutes. Do not interpret after 20 minutes.

Caution: the above interpreting time is based on reading the test results at room temperature of 15-30. If your room temperature is significantly lower than 15℃, then the interpreting time should be properly increased.

Interpretation of the Test:

1)           A color band will appear in the left section of the result window to show that the test is working properly. This band is the control band.

2)           The right section of the result window indicates the test results. If another color band appears in the right section of the result window, this band is the Test Band 1 of P.f and Test Band 2 of P.v

Negative Result:  The presence of only one band within the result window indicates a negative result.

Positive Result:  The presence of not less than 2 color bands (1, 2 and C) within the result window, no matter which band appears first, indicates a positive result for P.f or P.v respectively.

Invalid Result:     If the purple color band is not visible within the result window after performing the test, the result is considered invalid. The directions may not have been followed correctly or the test may have deteriorated. It is recommended that the specimen be retested.

Limitations of the Test:  As with all diagnostic tests, a definitive clinical diagnosis should not be based on the results of single test, but should only be made by the physician after all clinical and laboratory findings have been evaluated.

COMPLETE CARE MEDICAL ADULT CARE — 2 Day Formula - 4 Tablets

Composition: The product is a fixed-dose Artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT) and each tablet contains 62.5mg artemisinin and 375mg piperaquine

Description: tablet coated with green film.  There are 4 full Adult Dose Packages in this kit.  That can be 8 teenage dosages also.

Pharmacology: It is a new combination consisting of artemisinin and piperaquine. Artemisinin will be transformed into dihydroartemisinin rapidly in human body. Dihydroartemisinin has powerful and quick parasiticidal effects on malarial parasites. Piperaquine is a 4-aminoquinolone anti-malarial and it has a similar action with chloroquine but has no intersectant drug- resistance. The plasma half-life time of dihydroartemisinin is 4 hours and the resistance culture shows that the drug resistance to dihydroartemisinin is hard to occur. Piperaquine has a long half-life time of not less than 14 days in body blood. The in vitro pharmacodynamics research shows the combination could retard the development of drug-resistance of individual ingredients.

Toxicology:

Dihydroartemisinin (DHA):

Genotoxicity: Studies on Ames test, CHL Chromosomal aberration assay and micronucleus test showed negative results.

Reproduction effect: Embryo toxicity was found in pregnant mice and it made the absorption of embryo increased, dose dependence was found. No teratogenic effect was found.

 Piperaquine:

Repeated dose toxicity: Beagle dogs were administered at a dose of 100mg/kg for consecutive 14 weeks or 25mg for consecutive 26 weeks. The main toxicity target is liver.

Genotoxicity: Studies on Ames test, Sister Chromatid Exchange Assay (SCE) and Chromosomal Assay in bone marrow cells showed negative results.

Reproduction effect: No embryo toxicity and teratogenic effect were found in animal experiment.

Taking this product consecutively with high dose would induce slight injury of liver function and decrease of reticulocyte count, but this change is reversible, it can recover quickly after quitting the drug.

Pharmacokinetics:  After taking orally, Artemisinin shows wide distribution, quick and complete absorption, rapid metabolism and excretion. The half-life of artemisinin is 1.6-2.6 hours. The active metabolite, dihydroartemisinin, can enter into erythrocytes infected by plasmodium selectively. The organ for the metabolism of artemisinin is liver. Some prodrug and metabolites which have lost their anti-malarial activity can be detected in urine and feces 48 hours later after orally taking artemisinin.

Piperquine has a long half-life with 9.5 days in mice and not less than 14 days in the body blood.

Indications: It is intended for the treatment of malaria attacks, especially for falciparum and vivax malaria.
